The program was inaugurated by Rajiv Ranjan Prasad (Deputy Commissioner, State Tax) along with the chief guest, Jeevan Kumar (Member of Bihar Legislative Council, BJP), and special guest Prashant Kumar (Assistant Director, Department of Industries, Government of Bihar), who lit the ceremonial lamp to commence the event.
On this occasion, the guests emphasized the vibrancy of theater. They mentioned four types of acting in theater, stating that mastering this art is a challenging endeavor not suited for everyone. They noted that Patna’s theater scene is now competing with theaters across India. Prashant Kumar remarked that theater in Bihar is becoming a commercial venture, but emphasized that artists must work hard for success, highlighting the potential for growth in the field.
About the Play – “Uske Jaane Ke Baad”
The story revolves around an extramarital relationship, depicting the turmoil of JD, who is deeply saddened upon discovering his wife’s affair. He yearns to meet her lover, Rajat, and understand the dynamics of their relationship. After much effort, JD learns that Rajat is a 24-year-old man. Before their meeting, JD devises a plan to kill Rajat. As the narrative unfolds at 8 PM when Rajat arrives, the play delves into a profound investigation of male-female relationships, exploring human emotions across different societal strata.
Ultimately, the play conveys JD’s despair and disappointment, highlighting the importance of genuine relationships in a world where people chase superficial connections, often at the cost of what truly matters. When a bond is broken, one is willing to go to great lengths to mend it, yet time remains an unyielding force that waits for no one.
