The book “Shani: A Comprehensive Study of Saturn in Global Traditions” explores Saturn’s historical, philosophical, astronomical, and cultural dimensions, analyzing its representation in Mesopotamian, Greco-Roman, Egyptian, Indian, Buddhist, African, and Mesoamerican civilizations. The work portrays Saturn not merely as a punisher, but as a divine symbol of karma, time, and justice.
Professor Dr. Vandana Sharma ‘Diya’ stated:
“Saturn does not bring fear into anyone’s life; instead, it represents self-discipline, justice, and balance in karma. Only when one understands their actions, Saturn blesses them. This book seeks to understand Saturn not merely as an astrological planet, but as a philosophical symbol.”
Jyotishacharya Mrityunjay Sharma added:
“The influence of Saturn depends on one’s perspective and actions. It is not punishment, but an opportunity for self-realization. Every difficulty in life is a form of self-discipline, and this is the true message of Saturn.”
The event was further graced by several dignitaries including IAS Vishwapati Trivedi, Uttam Tiwari, Head of the Brahmin Samaj of India, Prof. Anurag Mishra (Delhi University), Hari Mohan Sharma Ji, Principal of Satyawati College, Dr. Brijesh Kuntal (Bharat Bhakti Foundation), and Deputy Dean of Student Welfare Prof. Anjan Kumar Singh.
