During the COVID-19 lockdown, Pratishthit began speaking with people suffering from tinnitus. What he heard was distressing — sleepless nights, mental strain, and a recurring message of helplessness. Patients were often told to “learn to live with it.” Doctors, meanwhile, lacked structured diagnostic tools, consistent therapies, or long-term monitoring systems. This disconnect between what patients needed and what the medical system offered sparked a mission in him: to make tinnitus care scientific, measurable, and accessible.
That mission became reality with the creation of Vernal Sounds, a tinnitus-focused division under Karnarogyam. At its heart lies Brain-Retraining (BR) Technology, a neuromodulation-based sound therapy that uses controlled sound patterns to retrain how the brain perceives tinnitus. The therapy is designed to reduce the intensity of the ringing by altering neural responses, gradually restoring balance in auditory processing.

Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) score dropped from 47.42 to 9.71, indicating a significant reduction in symptom severity. The success rate stood at 90%, with an average treatment duration of just 1.5 months. For Pratishthit, these results weren’t just numbers; they were lives changed and confidence restored.
