Introduction to an Innovative Project
Filmmaker Hrithwik Chandran, driven by his passion for storytelling, embarked on an exceptional project during the COVID-19 lockdown. Inspired by the success of low-budget films like “Paranormal Activity,” Hrithwik, along with his friends Rohan and Ranjith, conceptualized the web series “Mysteries of Love.” This series ingeniously blends real-life scenarios with fictional elements, creating a captivating narrative on a limited budget.
Journey from Concept to Creation
The journey from idea to realization was fraught with challenges. Hrithwik’s intriguing storyline caught the attention of Mangesh, who brought actor Anand on board. With the support of ZP Films, the project gained momentum despite the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. The cast and crew’s dedication and creativity were instrumental in overcoming the difficulties of remote shooting and constrained resources.
Overcoming Distribution Challenges
Once production was complete, the next hurdle was distribution. Fortunately, MX Player recognized the series’ unique appeal and agreed to stream it. “Mysteries of Love” is now available on MX Player and the new platform 24Liv OTT, attracting viewers with its compelling story and innovative production.
Hrithwik Chandran’s Filmmaking Journey
Hrithwik Chandran’s filmmaking career began with his award-winning short film, “The Last Breath.” Despite facing numerous challenges, his determination to make his directorial debut in feature films remains strong. Hrithwik has received accolades for “The Last Breath” and “Prana Vayu,” and has contributed as a cinematographer for the Tamil feature film “Sowndharya” and the Malayalam feature film “Njananu Party.”
