International Buddha Peace Award Ceremony Held in Kolkata
Kolkata, June 12: The International Buddha Peace Award Ceremony, organized by the Maitry Peace Foundation, was held at Rabindra Tirtha, New Town, Kolkata, with the participation of eminent personalities from various fields, including public service, education, healthcare, business, and social work.
The event was organized to promote the ideals of peace, compassion, and harmony inspired by the teachings of Lord Buddha. Several distinguished individuals were honoured with the International Buddha Peace Award for their outstanding contributions to society and their commitment to humanitarian service.
A special felicitation ceremony was also conducted to honour Hon’ble Minister Shri Dilip Ghosh and several newly elected MLAs. The dignitaries were recognized for their dedication to public service and their contributions to the development of society.
Addressing the gathering, Surajit Barua, President of Maitry Peace Foundation, said that the award aims to recognize individuals who have made meaningful contributions to their communities and to encourage the values of peace, tolerance, and social responsibility.
