It made me realize that art is not just a medium. It’s a prayer. It’s a voice for stories that go untold,” he shares. Since then, his work has focused on painting raw human emotions and spiritual narratives that transcend language and geography.

Despite managing a demanding full-time job in marketing and handling personal responsibilities alone, Dr. Gomes never let his creative flame dim. Nights were reserved for painting, fatigue battled with faith, and every canvas was a testament to perseverance. His commitment to showcasing Indian mythology through a contemporary lens shines in his latest masterpiece — a Van Gogh-style depiction of Lord Krishna with folded hands amidst the chaos of war. The piece merges post-impressionist Western influences with Indian mythological themes, a symbolic dialogue between two worlds.
