Three Co-Founders, One Super App: How Campusadda Is Putting Campus Life at Students’ Fingertips
From a student-driven idea at Manipal University Jaipur to 40,000+ downloads, Sujit Sonune, Aditya Rathaur and Ashutosh Chaudhary are building a platform designed to make everyday campus life simpler.
College life is full of opportunities, friendships and new experiences, but managing everyday needs can sometimes be more complicated than it should be. Finding food, arranging a cab, discovering campus events and accessing essential services often means switching between different apps, relying on word of mouth or asking friends for recommendations. For three students at Manipal University Jaipur, this everyday inconvenience became the starting point of an entrepreneurial journey.
Meet Sujit Sonune, Aditya Rathaur and Ashutosh Chaudhary, the co-founders of Campusadda, a startup bringing multiple aspects of student life together on a single platform. What began as an idea rooted in their own college experiences has grown into a campus-focused super app with more than 40,000 combined downloads across iOS and Android.
All three founders are B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering graduates from Manipal University Jaipur, having completed their degrees in 2026. Today, they are working full-time on Campusadda, focusing on strengthening the platform and expanding its presence across more campuses.

The Campus Problem That Sparked an Idea
The inspiration behind Campusadda came from a problem the founders experienced firsthand during their first year of college. Major food delivery platforms were not readily accessible within their campus environment, finding people to share a cab with was difficult, and there was no single platform where students could discover campus events and local services.
Instead of accepting these inconveniences as a normal part of student life, the three friends began thinking about how technology could bring everything together.
Their initial motivation was simple: they wanted to build something interesting and get noticed on campus. However, as more students started using Campusadda, they realised the idea could become much bigger than a college project. It had the potential to solve genuine problems and become a useful part of students’ daily routines.
That shift in perspective transformed their ambition. Campusadda was no longer just about creating an app; it was about making campus life more convenient, connected and accessible.
Three Founders, Three Complementary Strengths
One of Campusadda’s defining strengths is the way its three founders bring different skills and perspectives to the business.
Sujit Sonune: Leading Technology and Key Decisions
Sujit leads Campusadda’s technology function and plays a central role in key business decisions. With a background in computer science, he focuses on developing the platform, addressing technical challenges and ensuring the product can support the growing needs of its users.
For Sujit, building a technology platform means looking beyond the initial idea and creating something reliable enough to become part of students’ everyday lives.
“Every technical challenge is an opportunity to make Campusadda better. Our goal is to build a platform students can depend on, not just an app they download once,” says Sujit Sonune.
Aditya Rathaur: Building Operations and Financial Discipline
Aditya oversees operations and finance, helping turn the founders’ vision into a functioning business. His responsibilities include managing operational priorities, maintaining financial discipline and ensuring that the platform’s growth is supported by sustainable processes.
As Campusadda expands, operational efficiency and careful resource management become increasingly important. Aditya’s role helps connect the startup’s ambitions with the practical decisions required to achieve them.
“Building a startup is not only about having a great idea. It is about making the right decisions every day, managing resources wisely and creating systems that can grow with the business,” says Aditya Rathaur.
Ashutosh Chaudhary: Connecting Campusadda with Students
Ashutosh leads marketing, focusing on helping students discover Campusadda, understand its value and become active users. His role centres on communicating with the student community and building awareness around a platform created specifically for their needs.
For a campus-focused startup, growth depends on more than visibility. It requires trust, relevance and a clear understanding of how students behave and what they need.
“Campusadda grew because students saw value in what we were building. Our focus is to keep listening to them, understand their everyday challenges and make the platform more useful with every step,” says Ashutosh Chaudhary.
Together, the founders combine technology, business operations and marketing to guide Campusadda through its next phase.
Learning, Growing and Overcoming Challenges
Building Campusadda came with its share of uncertainties. One of the biggest early challenges was attracting users while working with a small team and limited resources. The founders had to prioritise carefully, make the most of their available resources and build a team capable of supporting their ambitions.
One incident, in particular, became a defining lesson. Within the first two hours of launch, a sudden surge in traffic caused the app to crash. Rather than panic, the team immediately worked to resolve the issue and restored the app within ten minutes.
The experience reinforced an important lesson: growth brings responsibility, and a successful product must be built to handle demand.
The founders have also learned that working together requires patience. They do not always agree on major decisions, but they make time to discuss different perspectives, weigh the pros and cons and reach a considered conclusion. This approach has helped them maintain alignment while navigating the uncertainties of startup life.
Their efforts have already delivered encouraging results. Campusadda has recorded more than 8 lakh orders since launch and attracts over 10,000 monthly active users. The startup has also won Techstars Startup Weekend Jaipur and the Rise by Runway India Hackathon. Its DPIIT recognition by the Government of India marks another important milestone in its journey.
Five Campuses and a Bigger Vision
Having established its presence at Manipal University Jaipur, Campusadda is now preparing for its next chapter. The team is working towards expansion across five additional campuses in Chandigarh, Chennai, Pune, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Manipal.
The founders have set their sights on crossing 5 lakh downloads, but their ambitions extend beyond numbers. They want Campusadda to become a dependable part of campus life, helping students discover services, place orders and stay connected with what is happening around them.
For Sujit, Aditya and Ashutosh, the journey is still unfolding. The same student experiences that inspired their first idea continue to shape their priorities, while feedback from users provides direction for what comes next.
Their story is a reminder that meaningful startups can emerge from everyday frustrations when people are willing to work together to solve them. Campusadda began with three students recognising a problem they understood personally. Now, as they take their company beyond their own university, their mission remains straightforward: make campus life easier, one student and one campus at a time.
