From a Lockdown Conversation to a Digital Venture: How Abid Roshan Is Building Divinifyy to Simplify Religious Scholar Bookings
BENGALURU, INDIA: Some business ideas begin with market research, while others emerge from everyday conversations and problems people often overlook. For Abid Roshan, CEO and Founder of Divinifyy, the idea began during the first COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. A conversation with his co-founder, Abdul Hadi, led to a simple but meaningful question: Could technology make it easier for people to find and book religious scholars?
That question eventually became Divinifyy, a technology platform developed under Infitech Corporation Private Limited, designed to simplify the discovery and booking of verified religious scholars across Hinduism, Islam and Christianity.
The idea was rooted in a familiar challenge. People who move to cities such as Bengaluru for work or other opportunities may not have established local connections to help them find a suitable religious scholar. Even when they know whom they want to contact, checking availability, coordinating schedules and confirming appointments can involve multiple conversations and repeated follow-ups.
Roshan saw an opportunity to make this process more organised, accessible and convenient through a single digital platform.
Turning an Idea into a Purpose-Driven Platform
For Roshan, Divinifyy was never just about building another mobile application. The larger objective was to address a genuine need while respecting the personal and cultural significance of religious services.
The platform brings together two connected applications: Divinifyy for users and Divinifyy Scholars for religious service providers. Users can discover scholars and arrange bookings, while scholars have a dedicated platform to participate in the ecosystem.
An important part of this approach is verification. Because religious services involve personal beliefs and trust, Divinifyy is developing a structured onboarding process that includes reviewing relevant certifications and government-issued documents before scholar profiles go live.
The aim is to help users make informed choices while establishing greater accountability within the platform. Rather than prioritising rapid expansion, the team wants to build a dependable service that respects the traditions and expectations of different religious communities.
Years of Research, Setbacks and Learning
The journey from concept to product was not straightforward. Between 2021 and 2024, Roshan and Hadi conducted research, explored the market and spoke with more than 20 technology teams in search of the right development partner.
Finding a team capable of writing code was only one part of the challenge. Roshan wanted collaborators who would understand the purpose behind the product, question assumptions, contribute ideas and take responsibility for its long-term development.

However, not every partnership worked as expected. An unsuccessful proposed partnership in late 2024 and the end of another development partnership in April 2026 created fresh challenges for the founders. Each setback meant reassessing plans, reconsidering technical decisions and finding a way to move forward without losing sight of the original idea.
These experiences reinforced an important lesson for Roshan: building a technology business requires more than enthusiasm. It demands patience, adaptability and the willingness to begin again when circumstances change.
A significant turning point came in May 2026, when Muheen Pasha joined the team as Chief Technology Officer. His involvement strengthened the technical leadership of the venture and helped the team move towards completing the product.
Meanwhile, Infitech Corporation Private Limited was established in March 2026 as the parent company for its technology initiatives, providing a broader foundation for the team’s ambitions.
Building Towards a Bengaluru Launch
Divinifyy is preparing for its planned public launch in Bengaluru in early December 2026. Before scaling user acquisition, the team is focusing on developing a strong network of scholars and preparing its operational processes.
The platform has built an initial network of approximately 32 scholars, with a target of onboarding 100 scholars each from Hinduism, Islam and Christianity before expanding its user-acquisition efforts.
For the founders, this stage is about establishing the right foundation. A successful launch depends not only on the technology but also on the quality of the onboarding process, the availability of service providers and the overall experience offered to users.
The team intends to expand beyond Bengaluru over time, with a longer-term vision of reaching communities across India. It is also exploring the possibility of video consultations, which could help people connect with scholars beyond their immediate geographical areas and potentially make such services accessible to communities worldwide.
A Broader Vision for Meaningful Technology
Divinifyy is part of a wider effort to develop practical technology solutions under Infitech Corporation Private Limited. Another initiative, TrioTest, is an enterprise multimodal English-proficiency assessment platform calibrated to international Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) standards. The platform is already live at triotest.in.
Although the two products address different needs, they reflect a shared approach: identifying practical challenges and using technology to create structured, accessible solutions.
For Roshan, the long-term goal is not simply to launch applications, but to build sustainable products that offer genuine value to the people who use them.
Looking Ahead
As Divinifyy moves towards its planned launch, its founding team remains focused on trust, authenticity and operational readiness. The ambition is to make finding and booking religious scholars more convenient without overlooking the sensitivity of the services involved.
The journey from a conversation in 2020 to a developing technology platform has included research, difficult decisions, unsuccessful partnerships and renewed efforts. Yet the original motivation remains unchanged.
For Abid Roshan, entrepreneurship is about recognising a problem, staying committed to a meaningful solution and continuing to learn along the way. Divinifyy represents that belief in action, with the potential to connect people and religious scholars through a more organised digital experience.
As the platform prepares for its next chapter, its success will ultimately depend on how well it earns the confidence of users and scholars alike. For Roshan and his team, that trust is not an afterthought; it is the foundation on which they intend to build.
