Himani Verma’s professional journey reflects a rare combination of civil services, education, public policy, child rights, leadership and social impact. A former bureaucrat, educator, mentor and professional leader, she has consistently worked towards creating opportunities for people through education, skills and meaningful career guidance.
From Zoology Graduate to Civil Servant
Himani completed her postgraduate studies in Zoology from the prestigious Hindu College, University of Delhi, and began her professional career as a college lecturer. She later cleared the Rajasthan Administrative Examination in 2018 in her first attempt and entered the civil services.
During her preparation for the civil services examination, she recognised the importance of accessible and quality education, particularly for students who lack proper guidance and confidence in English communication. This experience became one of the foundations of her long-term commitment to education and skill development.
Expertise in Child Rights and Education Policy
Driven by her interest in child welfare and education, Himani pursued Child Rights Law from the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru. She subsequently contributed to the implementation of the Right to Education Act, gaining valuable experience in education policy, child welfare and public administration.
Impact Through Women and Child Development Initiatives
As a civil servant, Himani was associated with several flagship initiatives of the Rajasthan Government, particularly within the Women and Child Development Department.
Her work contributed to programmes impacting more than 1.2 crore women beneficiaries. Her areas of involvement included early childhood care and development, the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme, menstrual health initiatives and free sanitary napkin distribution, along with nutritional and developmental support for pregnant and lactating women and adolescent girls.
Transition from Bureaucracy to Education Leadership
After gaining substantial experience in government administration, policy implementation and project management, Himani made a significant transition into the education sector.
She served as a school principal, where she focused on providing quality education while advocating for stress-free childhoods and preparing students for the challenges of the future. Her educational experience has included working with both Indian and international students.
Championing Inclusive and Special Education
Himani has also played an important role in special education. She headed a special education wing supporting neurodiverse children, including children with Autism, ADHD and Epilepsy.

Himani has continuously expanded her knowledge across multiple disciplines. She has studied public policy and environmental law and holds five postgraduate diplomas in areas including hospital administration, medico-legal systems and public policy.
She is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified by the Government of India and an IICA-certified Independent Director, adding management, governance and process-improvement expertise to her professional profile.
Leadership in Healthcare and AI Education
Currently, Himani serves as the Director of Dr Alexendera Fleming Health and Research Council of India, a registered Section 8 company.
She is also working as Product and Growth Lead at GreyNexus AI, where she is involved in developing AI-led educational products for K12 and adult education segments. Alongside her professional responsibilities, she also serves on the advisory boards of various organisations.

One of Himani’s most significant initiatives is “Rise with Himani.” The initiative aims to equip people with practical skills that can help them earn their livelihoods, build confidence and progress in their careers.
Its areas of focus include public speaking, spoken English, communication skills, interview preparation, sales skills and government examination preparation.
Himani also mentors women-led startups, providing end-to-end guidance to help founders navigate their entrepreneurial journeys and build sustainable businesses.

Her commitment to skill development also extends to professional awareness programmes. Himani has trained hundreds of individuals in POSH and POCSO, helping participants become certified experts and trainers while contributing to their professional development and livelihood opportunities.

Beyond her professional and social initiatives, Himani is also a prolific writer. She has several books in the pipeline covering subjects such as stress management, public speaking and communication, and interview preparation.
